The National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) and Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP) are hosting a New Grantee Workshop on November 21–22, 2019, at NCI Shady Grove Campus, 9609 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, Maryland.
The workshop brings together new extramural investigators funded by DCCPS and DCP who received their first National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Project Grants (R01/R37) in FY 2018 and FY 2019. The primary goals of the workshop are to help build strong and vibrant cancer control research and cancer prevention programs and to help advance new investigators’ careers.
Through interactive sessions and discussions with DCCPS and DCP leadership and staff, grantees will learn strategies to successfully manage their grants, hear about tools and resources to support their research, and be given opportunities to network with colleagues and DCCPS and DCP scientific staff. By helping investigators sustain and grow their careers, DCCPS and DCP, together with their grantees, will be able to advance research across the cancer continuum.
We look forward to seeing you in November!
