Session IV Agenda
Session IV Objectives
Mice and rats are the most commonly used rodent species in biomedical research to uncover the genetic origins of human diseases. This session will focus on mice and rats’ germplasm cryopreservation, other long-term preservation, alternative transportation, practical rederivation methods, and potential genomic and epigenomic alterations because of cryopreservation and rederivation-induced interventions. This session will also discuss current approaches and challenges in preserving and rederivation of rodent models from repositories and rodent genome editing core facilities' perspective.
