What did we develop? SCG designed and edited the NIH Strategic Plan for Tribal Health Research for Fiscal Years 2019–2023. The report was created in close consultation with the Tribal Health Research Office (THRO) to ensure that all images were culturally appropriate.

What was the impact? The Strategic Plan provides an overview of the NIH research projects that have a significant focus on American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations. This report is one of many efforts that THRO has made toward improving cultural competency and community engagement with AI/AN communities to enhance scientific research.
